Should artists live outside society?

What is the artist's role anyway?
Do they take holidays?
Can they retire?
Is it a job?

We need another meeting, round the table, there's a good beer on in Carnecia, or however you spell it.

I think artists are the bedrock of society. Look at the TV. Without artists or 'outlaws' as their bank managers refer to them, there'd be nowt worth watching on telly.

The artist's role is to be creative in a number of ways, including (but not exhaustively so); painting, sculpting, drawing etc., and generally making other people (including their bank manager) wonder what they do and how they make a crust.

Artists are on permanent holiday.

Artists never retire.

Being an artist in not a proper job no. Come on now. Stop being silly.
